For those of you who own several ratties, or are just looking for a good deal, this post will reveal my deep dark secrets for buying in bulk.
To start, here is my approved list on Amazon of great enrichment items for rats (yes, in bulk quantities for cheap).
If you are looking to save on rat food, I suggest chewy.com. They sell 50lb. bags of Kalmbach 18% for $35.

For making your own shredded construction paper for nesting materials, check out this bulk deal from Michaels (it’s 500 pieces for $14, and they usually have a sale):
And find yourself an affordable paper shredder! You may even be able to find one on marketplace. Make sure it isn’t a “cross cutting” one or you’ll have pieces instead of shreds.
